From NEC and Bonk/PC Genjin to Nintendo and Super Mario Brothers to Sega and Sonic the Hedgehog and amazing consoles like the NEC PC Engine, Sega Mega Drive, Sega Saturn, Nintendo SNES/Super Famicom, to the creation of entirely new genres of gaming celebrated around the globe such as JRPGs (Japanese Role Playing Games) and many more no Nation has had a bigger impact on console gaming than Japan.
